Why “D&P” Skincare Exists????
I started D&P because I was going through this myself. I hit 30 and suddenly my skin felt like a stranger.
My skin, which had been pretty cooperative for years, turned rebellious. Dark spots appeared where there were none. My face looked dull even after a good night's sleep. Fine lines crept in around my eyes, and my skin felt... different. Thicker in some places, thinner in others. Like it belonged to someone else. The glow I took for granted? Gone. Pores looked bigger. Even my makeup sat differently.
I learned the hard way that after 30, our skin literally changes. Collagen production drops by 1% every year. Our cell turnover slows down - what used to renew every 28 days now takes 40+ days. Hormones start their own unpredictable dance, triggering breakouts and pigmentation we never had before. Our skin barrier weakens, making us more sensitive to everything - pollution, stress, even products we used to love. Add Indian weather, pollution, and stress? It's a recipe for skin that feels completely out of control.
But every brand either talks to me like I'm a chemist or creates content for Gen-Z with their 12-step routines and endless product launches. They're pushing serums, essences, treatments, masks - telling me I need different products for morning, night, weekly, monthly. It's overwhelming and expensive, and honestly? Most of it doesn't even work for our Indian skin.
Then there's the noise. Instagram feeds full of filtered faces selling me fear about every pore, every line, every natural sign of aging. Brands creating problems I didn't know I had, then selling me solutions I can't afford the time or money to try. Bas itna drama kyun?
Where's the personalization? Where's the understanding that my skin at 35 with two kids, work stress, and hormonal changes is different from a 23-year-old influencer's skin? They're all selling the same one-size-fits-all approach wrapped in pretty packaging.
This is when my skin decided to have its own crisis - right when I had zero time to deal with complicated routines or decode which of the 15 products I supposedly "needed" would actually help. Meanwhile, I'm waking up at 6 AM to prep lunch boxes, checking work emails while my coffee gets cold, managing everyone's schedules, and realizing at 11 PM that I forgot to eat lunch. Again. Yeh kya zindagi hai?
I needed skincare that understood I'm juggling work deadlines while someone's asking "Mom, where's my school bag?" That I'm trying to keep my marriage alive, my parents healthy, and my sanity intact. Something that just worked, without the headache.
D&P isn't about ingredients lists. It's about understanding that your skin is going through real biological changes at the exact same time your life is most demanding. It's about giving you a routine that works with these changes, not against them.
Because you deserve to feel confident in your skin, even when everything else feels overwhelming. Especially then.
D&P. For women who don't have time to waste, but refuse to give up on themselves.
